I. INTRODUCTION:

The Demand of Social Connections made an uplift opportunity for Facebook to make themselves one of the leading organization in the market of social networking sites. The initial purpose behind making it an open source user website was just to connect people together thus known as social media website but later on with time it has changed its single route development into scattered services to grab multiple market segments by using same website as a common ground. Today Facebook users cannot only communicate with each other by text messages but also they can play games, quizzes, they can make audio and video calls,can share files and different data, can share locations, can know nearby people, can sell goods and services, can make different groups, can promote business using separate pages by the name of business directly using promotional tools in n number of budget slab options to reach specific audience, can share live videos, can create and find job opportunities,can make payments to friends, can donate blood to the needy in time with fakebook’s special feature for blood donation needs, medium to ask public pole and surveys and can create events on the same platform to inform and connect a large group of audience through it. In this paper we will discuss some of the important feature updates and security measures taken into consideration by Facebook after various cybercrime attacks on it. Some strongest safety features given by Facebook which are difficult break, type of Facebook Attacks criminals are using in recent times and how some simple Facebook security tips can enhance the user satisfaction and their experience on it.

Here new features refer to the new services Facebook offered gradually with time; these services are new milestones achieved by Facebook took a lot of survey and research work prior to their implementation. Here Security features means those security settings which provides better satisfaction level on using these features confidently but with precautions. The intruders or the hackers are those people of the society who forcefully intercepts into someone’s personal data and uses it in misconducts illegally. The crime here is known as cyber Crime which may be defined as any attempt to cross the legal boundaries by the means of internet, network, computer hardware software or any other mobile or digital device without coming into the knowledge of real person or the Target(Victim). Now a day's number of internet users have been increased and so the number of attacks also get increased with increasing number of cyber criminals due to the lack of awareness about the cyber security among the people and low technological knowledge of holding oneself safe from such attacks Classes of Hackers

A. Management of Accounts:

Individual At very first point Facebook allows the user to take control over their existence and visibility on the Facebook with the feature of temporarily or permanent deactivation or deletion of their accounts for security purposes which may have different reasons that varies from user to user.

The main focus of this feature is to provide major control option on the account to the user itself so that he can enter and exit in Facebook using his/her accounts. The benefit of this feature is one can resist themselves being addicted of Facebook, for example during the examination period one can deactivate their account and later can reactivate it. It gets restarted automatically with default restart time of one week. Facebook also asks for the reason of deactivation so that they can study and work upon the issues.

B. Security and Login:

Individuals always get terrified in losing the fine access to other users too who get into its use but do not act like so that they can keep track on the activities attempted by the real users or may sometimes make changes that the user cannot recognize whether they themselves made it or not.

The main benefit of this security feature is that one can keep an eye on the activities he has performed on Facebook including comments, posts, likes, shares, login details, friend requests sent and received etc. so that one can feel safe and secured from unauthorized accesses.

Cybercrime encompasses any criminal act dealing with computers and networks (called hacking). Additionally, cyber crime also includes traditional crimes conducted through the Internet. When it comes to be happened on or by using the Facebook known as Facebook cybercrimes.

III. TYPES OF CYBER CRIME IN ON FACEBOOK:

There are a lot of Facebook cybercrime types which are made differently either by misusing the security feature or by taking advantage of lack of user awareness about security.

A. Phishing Attack:

Phishing is one of the common attacks of hacking Facebook accounts where attacker/hackers uses a fake website which looks as same as the Facebook to get the user id and password by presentation its clone copy.

The victim due to the lack of awareness can't understand that it's not an original website he or she may share their credential on those applications and hackers can easily can’t access of their accounts and loses their account access.

People usually faces this as a most common threat of cyber harassment specially women where people makes account by the misuse of the credentials of other people without of their knowledge by adding either their details or photographs to prove that this account is another account of the real person and starts attempting crimes on their names.

C. OTP Fraud:

This attack is a very common style of getting access of someone’s Facebook account by having the login OTP by any means say by accessing the mobile phone, asking for it in good manner, fooling the real users or by hacking the mobile or email. includes all types of attacks that are used by the hackers to perform financial fraud include the hacking of bank accounts mobile wallets or any financial resources without the permission of the uses.

Once the attacker got the OTP its easy to get access of the Facebook account of the real user they can either change the password or can change the credentials for two step verification or other settings with a prior knowledge of their passwords. of the most popular attack in India number of tricks and techniques are used by the hackers to perform financial fraud the most common techniques in this type of attacks is calling the victim and pretending them the hacker is the manager of their bank and need to update their accounts for that we may require the personal information such as credit card number bank account number OTP and other personal information.

D. Mobile Hacking Attack:

Mobile hacking attacks are one of the common attacks which are used by hacker now days in this attack hacker share a malicious application with victim or share a link to download the malicious application once the victim install the application on their mobile devices hacker can get all the access of the mobile data accounts and others personal information

E. Hacking Through Gmail Access:

A Feature of Gmail saves the passwords of connected accounts and mostly users do not know this setting, once the hacker gains access of the Gmail account he/she can see the saved password of Facebook and can access the account more easily including other accounts whose passwords are managed by Gmail.

Facebook has 2,375 Million monthly active users which has the first rank in popularity of mostly used social media site. Later WhatsApp has 1600 million monthly active users across the world and so on

1. Using Strong password on Facebook including a random combination of small and capital alphabets, special characters such as *&^% and numeric digits from 0 to 9.

2. Providing Enabling factor two notification turned on with registered mobile number and email of regular access.

3. Checking the face recognition feature turned on and frequently checking for security check.

4. Limiting the audience for each post and information credentials.

5. Frequently checking the time spent on Facebook and activity log

6. Changing the password of Facebook account at least 3 to 4 times a month

7. Not logging in to Facebook on other persons mobile or computer system.

8. Not sending or accepting friend request by unknown people randomly.

9. Not sharing Facebook password and OTP with others and deleting it after use.

10. Making a use of strong antivirus on mobile and computer system both to avoid being hacked by mobile hacking devices.

V. CONCLUSION:

From the study made it has been found that Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms developed itself in multipurpose business and social media networking site. Although it provides slight enough security features but human error and lack of awareness creates another opportunity for the hackers or cyber criminals to attempt for it. We found a lot of Facebook updates and security feature study about fakebook still there is a scope of many other different types of Fakebook features and updated services to be studied in near future studies including a kind of bug that nobody noticed on Facebook that is if someone has blocked you and then using your credentials you will always be unknown to this until and unless anybody informs you or you get to know about it by any other means that fakebook has still need to work upon.

Criminals Facebook users need to learn about the safety features provided by the Facebook for better and enhanced experience.
